Arkady Burdetsky trained with and worked for the renowned Moscow Circus. He is a distinguished acrobat and juggler, mime, clown and magician. At age 20, he was entered into the Russian Circus Encyclopedia as the youngest person to perform one of the most dangerous flips in circus history. Arkady has appeared on the Letterman Show in New York City, as well as countless appearances in festivals, fairs and special events. His wife, Natalia Avramova, is an excellent "Spanish Web" aerialist and hoop dancer. Of particular delight are the Burdetsky Dancing Dogs, Santa and Barbara, who keep audiences smiling as they sing, waltz, and perform hilarious tricks.

Williams (Actor, Singer, Dancer) has appeared on Broadway in Hello Dolly! Pajama Game, The Happy Time and Within These Gates. In addition he’s appeared nationally and internationally in musical comedy festivals, theaters and as a celebrity on Australia’s national television network. Sarah McLawler is one of the living legends of American jazz. Ms. McLawler is the composer, conductor and performer of her current all women's jazz ensemble--Sarah McLawler and Les Femmes Jazz. In her wide-ranging career, Sarah has worked with many of the greats in the business, including Dinah Washington, George Benson, Pearl Bailey, Nat King Cole, Dionne Warwick, Gloria Lynn, Max Roach, Milt Jackson, Errol Garner, Art Tatum and many, many more.

Celebrate the beauty and heritage of the Afro-Caribbean Diaspora with the exuberant dancing and drumming of the Charles Moore Dance Theatre*. The company is presently the oldest professional dance company in Brooklyn. Founded in 1974 by the great contemporary choreographers, the late Charles Moore and Ella Thompson Moore, the company’s colorful African, Caribbean and African-American dance programs have thrilled New York audiences for years. The company has performed at Symphony Space, Lincoln Center, and Central Park and has been broadcast on the PBS series, “Great Performances.
Charles Moore Dance Theatre, noted for its reconstructions of dances thought to be lost forever, was commissioned to recreate, “Shango” – the signature piece - by the world-renowned choreographer Katherine Dunham. It was performed at Riverside Church, two weeks prior to her passing in September 2006 and at Symphony Space for her memorial service.

Through the use of dance techniques, lecture/demonstration and participation the audience will see how steps from African dance and/or early jazz dance are related to more contemporary styles including Hip-Hop. Choreographer, Wayne Daniels will be lead the participants in a 60 minute workshop as he demonstrates how dance steps borrow from earlier influences. The audience will see how steps are linked to choreography as they participate.

Wayne Daniels (Choreographer/Educator) is a dancer, choreographer and performer. He has premiered work with the Charles Moore Dance Theatre and Forces of Nature. Mr. Daniels teaches extensively in the Tri-state area and was an educator in the Circuit Productions’ Summer Intensive Workshop in African Dance and Percussion at the Brooklyn Children's Museum. He recently choreographed two programs on Jazz, African, Modern and Caribbean Dance for 9th and 10th graders at LaGuardia Community College’s weekend program – College Now! Wayne currently teaches Hip-Hop dance at Mark Morris Dance in Fort Greene Brooklyn.
